It's a Girl!

Meet Callie Anne Fairbanks. Isn't she cute? Now I'm going to honest. I usually don't think babies that are just born are very cute. I mean they are all red and a little squished up looking. And then there are those with the coneheads. I think Miss Callie is pretty cute (although a little red still) lol I'm going to go by and see her tomorrow. Congratulations Teresa and John!

High points and low points

Hmmm... do I start with the negative and end with the positive or vice versa? Postive first. It's more fun :) I was Layout of the day at 2 different sites today! The first one is HERE and the second one is HERE. I was a bit cranky today so those definatly put a smile on my face.

Low point of the day was realizing that I have sewage problems. YUCK! I also hit a link in someones comment post and it downloaded some awful spyware thingy that I can't figure out how to get rid of and it has an annoying little pop-up with it which sets off about every 10 minutes.

Ok, back to high points: I'm off to Tulsa tomorrow to go get my hair done. Haven't been there since Nov. 1st! I'm also going to KC this coming weekend. I haven't had a weekend away from Nana since last Memorial weekend at the end of May! I'm super excited.

Ok, that's all for today. I'm trying to be a better blogger so keep coming back ;)

My latest favs

So here is some recent layouts that I've done. They are some of my favs for various reasons. 2 of them were all about the journaling. I felt the quotes really described who I am and how I think. There is a tribute to my mom and her craftiness. One that shows my bolder scrapping style and some that show my prettier simpler scrapping style. Enjoy!

I am not what I ought to be,
I am not what I want to be,
I am not what I hope to be in another world,
But still I am not what I once used to be,
& by the Grace of God I am what I am.

John Newton

My mommy. She was so Crafty!

Another one of my favorite quotes. This one by Audrey Hepburn.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows and the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.

Brrrrr....

I know it is winter and I do LOVE me some winter also, BUT it's freezing outside! The other night it was thundering and lightening and then it started SLEETING and we were covered in ice when I dragged myself out of bed the next morning. It was fun chiseling it off my car though. I wasn't in a hurry to go anywhere otherwise it would NOT have been fun! I did this layout the other night of some pics I took when it snowed a couple of weeks ago. That is what I like about winter: SNOW and lots of it. The world seems so at peace when there is fresh snow on the ground and all the people are cozied up in their homes. I like to say my sissy sends the snow just for me from heaven. When we lived together in Tulsa we would wake each other up to tell the other it was snowing. If there was enough on the ground we would get dressed and go out and make snow angels and then come in and climb back into bed. I need to scrap that memory!

So do you ever do a layout and think maybe, just maybe it is ugly? Well, I thought this LO was a bit much at first and now I love it! Funny how that works. I was inspired by these GIRLS. I just love their funky free style.

Ok, that is all for today. Sweet dreams:)

Long time, no blogging

Ok, so I'm not the best at remembering to blog. My broken camera isn't helping matters. That, and these sinus headaches I seem to be plagued with this year. Enough whinning. I can't seem to locate the LO I was looking for so I'm showing you some other things I have done lately. These magic wands are going to my cousins girls the next time I see them. I love them and they were fun to make. They love everything princess related so I think they will like them also! I have other LO's to share but need to do a bit of scanning first so I'll get back to you on that. Hope you are having a fantastic week! See ya' ;)

I originally did this for a Dare challenge about 'Most Improved' but it never made it there in time.
